Having a medical emergency? Call 911.

Chest pain, stroke symptoms, trouble breathing, severe bleeding, a major head injury, or a bone through the skin all need an emergency room. Do not drive yourself. Emergency rooms are required by federal law to examine and stabilize you regardless of your ability to pay.

Newton is the Catawba County seat, which means it carries both a large public-sector workforce — county government, courts, Newton-Conover City Schools — and a substantial manufacturing base. Those two employer types have very different occupational health needs, and we handle both.

We’re about fifteen minutes north via US-321 and NC-127.

Pre-employment screening without the backlog

Hiring stalls when candidates wait a week for a physical or a drug screen. We do pre-employment exams and testing walk-in, same-day, with no appointment — so an offer doesn’t sit open while scheduling catches up.

Services for Newton employers

  • Pre-employment physical exams
  • Return-to-work and fitness-for-duty evaluations
  • Workplace injury treatment, with on-site digital X-ray
  • Drug and alcohol testing
  • Vaccinations and immunizations
  • Direct communication with your HR or safety contact on work status and restrictions

Return-to-work evaluations

Getting an employee back on the floor safely matters as much as treating the original injury. We do fitness-for-duty and return-to-work evaluations with written restrictions your supervisors can act on.

Insurance and Medicaid

We accept NC Medicaid, Medicare, and most major insurance plans. Under NC Medicaid the maximum copay for any service is $4, and members under 21 are exempt entirely. If you’re uninsured, our self-pay pricing is published upfront — visits start at $125, and $165 covers your visit plus one X-ray or lab test.
